All inhalers are not same...
Inhalers contain many types of drugs or combinations of drugs. They are useful in many lung diseases besides Asthma.
For children, we use two types of inhalers, one that relieves cough and breathlessness known as Rescuer, generally contains Salbutamol or Levosalbutamol.
Other type known as Controller, contains steroid mainly (very low dose).
In general rescuer inhaler provides relief in symptoms and controller helps in controlling the disease.
People often use rescuer and forget the optimal use of controller and suffer from uncontrolled disease or frequent attacks of disease.
Please don't use them indiscriminately and always continue as per your doctor's advice to conquer the disease.
