Platelets - fall and rise in Dengue
Platelet counts start falling in Dengue from the 3rd day and rise after 6th day of fever Luckily most patients don't bleed and don't require transfusion, no matter how low platelets are.
Don't fear low count but be alert and know your blood group.
Keep ready donor of same blood group as blood bank can separate platelets from human blood.
Donated platelets have short life, so cannot be banked.
Best treatment is to keep hydrated with liquids, no immediate benefit of Goat milk or various juices.
Take good amount of liquids and check on urine frequency.
